About Me

I’m Liv, and I believe every client is the expert in their own life. I offer a flexible, person-centred approach, helping you explore challenges, process emotions, and build self-awareness and resilience — all in a safe, inclusive, and affirming space.

How I Can Support You

Sessions & Fees

Finding the right support shouldn't be complicated. Here is what you can expect when working with me:

Format: I offer both online and telephone sessions, allowing you to access support from a space where you feel most comfortable.

Duration & Cost: Sessions are 50 minutes long and are priced at £40. Payment is typically made via bank transfer prior to the start of our session.

Concessions: I believe therapy should be accessible. If your financial circumstances mean the standard fee is a barrier, please let me know—concessionary rates are available.

Flexibility to Suit You

I offer single-session, short-term, or long-term therapy. Whether you’re looking for support for a specific issue, guidance over a few weeks, or ongoing therapy, we can tailor our work together to what feels most helpful for you.

How We Begin

I don’t use formal assessment sessions or initial phone consultations. Instead, our very first session is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss how the counselling process works, and explore what you hope to get out of therapy.

Most importantly, this initial session is a chance for both of us to see if we feel like a good fit for working together, with absolutely no pressure.

Arrange a Time to Talk

Taking the first step in therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. Reach out and begin your journey in a safe, supportive space.

What is Client First Counselling?

My Approach

At my practice, the focus is always on you. I believe that you are the expert in your own life; my role is not to direct your path, but to walk alongside you with empathy, compassion, and flexibility. Together, we will collaborate to ensure our work always feels safe, comfortable, and tailored to your unique needs.

Here is what you can expect from our time together:

  • An Affirming, Judgement-Free Space: Whatever your gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or cultural background, you are welcome here. I offer a warm and inclusive environment where you can express your emotions freely and feel truly heard.

  • Adaptable to Your Pace: Your therapy will move at a speed that feels manageable for you. Our sessions are flexible—some weeks you may simply need a steady, supportive listening ear, while others may be spent untangling overwhelming thoughts.

  • Safe Exploration: When you feel ready, we can gently work through deeper, complex life experiences, such as trauma, identity struggles, or relationship patterns you feel stuck in.

  • Growth & Resilience: Through careful reflection and supportive insight, I am here to help you cultivate deeper self-awareness, process your experiences, and build lasting resilience.

FAQs

Online sessions are conducted via a secure, confidential video platform (I will send you a link prior to our session), while telephone sessions simply require a quiet, private space where I can call you at our scheduled time. Both formats offer the same level of confidentiality and care as an in-person session, from the comfort of your own space.

How do online or telephone sessions work?

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

I operate a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance, otherwise the standard session fee may still apply.

What qualifications do you have?

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, grounded in an integrative and relational framework. My training exposed me to a range of therapeutic approaches and specialisms, allowing me to develop a broad, adaptable practice rather than working from a single model.

How do your concessionary rates work?

If your current financial circumstances mean the standard £40 fee is a barrier, please let me know during our initial contact or first session. I offer a limited number of concession slots and am happy to discuss an affordable rate if one is available.

What happens in a counselling session?

It depends entirely on what you need that day. Some sessions might just be a safe, steady space for you to be heard. Others might involve actively untangling overwhelming thoughts, processing difficult emotions, or gently exploring deeper patterns and life experiences. You guide the journey; I am here to support you without judgement.

How I Can Support You

I work with individuals facing a wide range of personal challenges, from managing anxiety, depression, and stress, to navigating relationship dynamics, neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), and diverse identity or cultural experiences. Rather than working from a checklist, I meet you wherever you are in your unique journey.

While my experience spans many areas, my core therapeutic passions are supporting individuals through female trauma and grief. Whether you are processing deep-seated women's issues or navigating the heavy, complex layers of bereavement and loss, I am here to offer a dedicated, safe space to help you heal and rebuild at your own pace.
